OVERVIEW OF PLASTIC INDUSTRY

The plastic was obtained from a chemical substance that can be used instead of natural substances in the 1850s with the use of hard rubber. Plastic today; It is mainly used in thermoplastics (densely used in industry), thermoset plastics and polymer alloys. When thermoplastics are heated and cooled down again (eg PVC), thermoset plastics are not able to get their old shape and are broken (eg rubber). Plastic products; It is used as an alternative to iron, wood and glass materials such as glass, metal and wood. 90% of the plastic sector inputs are obtained from petrochemical industry. The most important consumers of plastics are the packaging and construction sectors, and in many areas such as automotive, electricity, white goods and shoes, plastic is used extensively. In short, products made of plastic are consumed in sectors requiring high technology as well as very simple uses.

SECTOR DEVELOPMENT IN TURKEY

History of Turkey in the lower arm of the Plastics Industry Chemical industry is based on the 1960s. who is regarded as one of the fastest growing plastics industry in Turkey has achieved rapid economic growth, especially after the 90s. annual per capita consumption of plastics in Turkey today the average is around 40 kg. Plastics Sector in Turkey, is a young and immature market consumption is increasing with each passing day.
